About
Gwendolyn J.
I’m a proud native of Harvest, Alabama, with roots deeply embedded in our community. My early work experiences—from hairstyling and security operations to serving as a 9-1-1 operator—taught me the value of hard work, versatility, and genuine service. In 1997, I embarked on a journey in the Army as a delayed entry member, launching a career that spans nearly 20 years of combined military and federal civilian service.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, and organizations, including the Department of Veterans Affairs and various organizations within the Department of Army. Whether serving as a Management Analyst, Mobilization and Planning Specialist, or Human Resources Officer, I honed my skills in change management, organizational analysis, and strategic planning. These roles, along with assignments in various Army programs (Reservist, Active Duty, AGR, IMA, and IRR) and federal civilian initiatives like MILTECH and DAC, have equipped me with a unique perspective on leadership and operational excellence.
My passion for service was sparked early on—during my senior year of high school, I navigated the system to secure long-overdue benefits for my father, a Vietnam Veteran. That experience inspired me to assist veterans and active service members in obtaining the resources they deserve. Today, I continue that mission by providing realistic, transparent guidance in career development, benefit acquisition, and small business strategy.
Academically, I hold a Master’s Degree in National Security Studies with a minor in Intelligence Analysis, as well as dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration and Human Resource Management. My education is further enriched by a wide range of specialized military and federal civilian trainings, including DoD Lean Six Sigma Black and Green Belt certifications and comprehensive safety and occupational health coursework. These credentials underscore my commitment to continuous improvement and my ability to deliver strategic, hands-on solutions.
Now, as a consultant, I leverage my extensive background in leadership, change management, and operational efficiency to help organizations and individuals navigate complex challenges. Whether you’re seeking to optimize processes, refine human resource practices, or explore career and entrepreneurial opportunities, I bring a balanced mix of real-world experience and strategic insight to every engagement. My services are offered virtually via phone, email, and Zoom, ensuring that quality support is accessible wherever you are.
